The Merchant These codes are used to identify specific networks in the "network" field of the deals feed. For ease-of-use, they have letter codes instead of numeric IDs (unlike merchants, which are too numerous to unambiguously abbreviate).
They can also be passed in the HTTP call using the "network" argument. (Separate multiple values with commas.)
